Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke LLP seeks an associate with 3–5 years of transactional tax experience to join its Tax Practice, focusing on fund formation, REITs, joint ventures, private equity and other M&A. Ideal candidates have or are pursuing an LL.M. in taxation, JD tax coursework, and strong written and verbal skills.

Law firm experience preferred, accounting firm considered. Must be licensed in good standing in the practicing state, and position requires three days per week in office.

Troutman Pepper Locke's Tax Practice, a subgroup of its Tax & Benefits practice group, is seeking an associate with three to five years' experience to join its transactional tax practice. The position will include significant work in fund formation, REITs, joint ventures, Private Equity, and other M&A. Candidates should have solid transactional tax experience, as well as a strong academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ideal candidates will have, or currently be in the process of earning, an LL.M. in taxation or will have had significant tax course work at the JD level. Law firm experience is preferred but large accounting firm experience will also be considered. Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in the state in which they practice. Position requires three days a week in office.
