Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke LLP's Tax Practice is seeking an associate with 3–5 years of transactional tax experience to join its team. The role will involve significant work in fund formation, REITs, joint ventures, private equity, and other M&A transactions.

Ideal candidates will hold an LL.M. in taxation or have substantial tax coursework during their JD. Law firm experience is preferred, state licensure in good standing is required, and the position requires three days a week in the office.

Qualifications

• Strong academic credentials and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
• Licensed to practice in the state in which you will practice.
• Experience with fund formation, REITs, joint ventures, PE preferred.

Troutman Pepper Locke's Tax Practice, a subgroup of its Tax & Benefits practice group, is seeking an associate with three to five years' experience to join its transactional tax practice. The position will include significant work in fund formation, REITs, joint ventures, Private Equity, and other M&A. Candidates should have solid transactional tax experience, as well as a strong academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ideal candidates will have, or currently be in the process of earning, an LL.M. in taxation or will have had significant tax course work at the JD level. Law firm experience is preferred but large accounting firm experience will also be considered. Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in the state in which they practice. Position requires three days a week in office.
