Job summary

Our client, a long-established US law firm, is seeking a mid-level to senior tax associate to join their East Coast, Texas or Florida offices. The role focuses on transactional tax work, including structuring, tax provisions in M&A and JV documents, and inbound/outbound tax planning with international elements.

Ideal candidates have 4–8 years' PQE in corporate and transactional tax, bar admission in the relevant state, and strong written/oral communication skills. LL.M.

Qualifications

• Four to eight years' post-qualification experience in corporate and transactional tax.
• Bar admission in the state of residence required.
• LL.M. in Taxation welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan structures, draft and negotiate operative tax provisions in purchase and sale agreements, merger agreements and JV documents.
• Advise on tax-free reorganisations and tax-deferred arrangements.
• Coordinate with corporate, real estate and restructuring groups and engage with clients directly.
