About the Role

Mid-level Transactional Real Estate Associate to join its busy practice. This is a permanent role driven by long-term growth and the need to support increased workload during a senior associate’s upcoming maternity leave.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate commercial real estate documents, including:
• Office and retail leases
• Acquisitions and dispositions of commercial, mixed-use, and industrial properties
• Construction contracts and vendor agreements
• Co-op and condo bylaws and amendments
• Handle environmental and due diligence issues in transactions
• Manage complex residential matters (not routine residential closings)
• Interface with clients and opposing counsel for negotiations (no closings required)
• Work independently while keeping partners informed

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills
• Exposure to diverse property types and co-op/condo matters
• NY Bar admission required
• Portable business a plus but not required
• Salary range: $200,000 – $225,000 (higher with portable business)
• Clear partner track tied to performance and business development
• Billing rates for associates: $475–$525/hr
