Job Title:
Transactional Associate Attorney (Remote)

Job Overview:
A law firm based in Boise, ID is actively seeking a seasoned legal professional with a strong background in complex transactional matters to join its remote legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of sophisticated business and real estate transactions in a fully virtual environment. The position is ideal for an experienced attorney who values independence, collaboration, and high-quality legal work while contributing meaningfully to client success and firm growth.

Duties:

  1. Prepare, analyze, and negotiate intricate legal agreements such as those involved in mergers, acquisitions, and commercial real estate.
  2. Conduct thorough due diligence reviews to identify risks and safeguard client interests.
  3. Offer strategic legal insights and practical advice related to business structuring and transactional planning.
  4. Work closely with colleagues to align deal mechanics and legal solutions.
  5. Remain informed on relevant legislative and industry developments affecting business transactions.
  6. Contribute to a team-based, client-focused legal practice with an emphasis on results and professionalism.
  7. Manage competing deadlines while maintaining attention to detail across multiple projects.

Requirements:

  1. At least 5 years of focused legal experience handling transactional matters.
  2. Active license to practice law in Idaho, in good standing with the State Bar.
  3. Demonstrated ability to effectively function in a fully remote role.
  4. Experience supporting clients in the Northwestern U.S. preferred (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Nevada, or Wyoming).
  5. Strong time management and ability to meet billable targets.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the Idaho State Bar (mandatory).

Skills:

  1. Advanced contract drafting and negotiation techniques.
  2. Excellent written and spoken communication abilities.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
  4. Skilled in utilizing legal research platforms such as Westlaw.
