Join Our Team as an Associate Attorney - Remote

Professional Partners - Mortgage Brokers is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our practice in Ohio. This role involves handling a diverse caseload related to consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation matters. The position is remote, with the requirement to attend court in person in Ohio when necessary, and effective communication with our New York headquarters via phone and electronic means.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and supervise a heavy and diversified caseload of clients in Ohio.
2. Communicate with clients regarding their legal matters.
3. Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, review and draft agreements.
4. Negotiate and communicate with opposing parties to resolve claims.
5. Conduct legal research on various issues in contract law and consumer law.

Qualifications:

1. Experience in drafting legal documents such as pleadings and memoranda, with strong organizational skills and willingness to handle a heavy workload.
2. Must be admitted to practice law in Ohio; multi-state admission is a plus.
3. At least 1 year of relevant law firm experience.
4. Strong legal research skills; proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus.
