Position: Director, Recruitment at Henderson Scott

This is a fully remote role. You must live in South Carolina for court appearances and MUST BE admitted to practice law in South Carolina.

Note: There are no billable hours, and this is a strictly 40-hour per week role.

This position involves broad responsibilities and exposure to various legal issues related to consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation matters.
You will manage litigation cases, resolve legal disputes for clients by developing agreements, negotiating contracts, setting claims, and advocating in court.
Responsibilities:

• Maintain and supervise a diversified caseload of the firm's clients in TX
• Communicate with clients regarding their matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, review & draft agreements, etc.
• Negotiate and communicate with opposing parties to settle claims
• Conduct legal research on contract law and other consumer law issues

Qualifications:

• Must be admitted to practice law in TX (multi-state admission is a plus)
• At least 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
