Job summary

CLA is seeking a Manager/Director – Transaction Tax to join our Transaction Tax practice. You will manage client relationships, deliver a full range of tax due diligence, structuring, modeling and other engagements related to acquisitions and dispositions by private equity groups, family offices and strategic buyers.

You will work with SALT, International Tax and Federal Tax Solutions teams as needed, supervise engagement progress, and communicate key developments to engagement leadership, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience performing federal, state, and/or international tax work.
• CPA license required; JD or EA may be accepted in lieu of CPA.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with new business development and existing clients, mentoring team members.
• Deliver tax due diligence, structuring, modeling and other engagements for acquisitions and dispositions.
• Collaborate with SALT, international and federal tax groups as needed.
• Review tax returns, legal documents and financial statements; write tax due diligence reports.
• Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with flexibility, autonomy and initiative.
• Lead engagement progress by monitoring time, budgets and deadlines.
• Communicate important developments to the engagement principal with facts, conclusions and recommendations.
