Job summary

VACU in Midlothian, Virginia seeks an ATM settlement clerk to ensure accurate processing of transactions and daily NSF balance work. You will test releases, prepare Excel logs, and post journal vouchers for FED statements, collaborating with multiple internal teams to resolve settlement issues.

Required is a high school diploma and experience with a financial institution; knowledge of Reg. CC/E is preferred.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handles each transaction proficiently and accurately, exercising good judgement and seeking approval for any transaction exceeding assigned levels of authority.
• Provide quality service to our members, both internal and external, by following all member service expectations as outlined in Transaction Operations.
• Balance inclearing exception totals on a daily basis. This requires a specific account of all items found on the NSF Report and what was done with them (i.e. paid, returned, etc...)
• Serve as a primary tester for all release testing relating to NSF Report.
• Post adjustments for encoding errors and send notification to the appropriate member(s).
• Utilize and maintain information in Excel logs, contact management requests, PSCU/STAR accounts, network settlement, adjustment reports and Word documents and assist with settlement issues.
• Activate all cashboxes for ATM PLUS terminals
• Post journal vouchers for ATM cash orders on the FED statement (FED to Vault(s) and Vault(s) to FED) - relating to replenishment/residual and deposit cash and over/short cash to assigned general ledger accounts.
• Post journal vouchers for debit cash adjustments on the FED statement.
• Prepare Excel spreadsheets for ATM PLUS weekly replenishments daily.
• Upload Excel spreadsheets into current software program
• Research and post exception items from multiple daily Accounting reconciliation emails
• Investigate and resolve monetary ATM/PSCU Outages.
• Utilize various vendor reporting tools to settle ATMs cash daily.
• Investigate and resolve ATM cash outages.
• Interact and communicate with card and cash vendors and internal teams (including but not limited to Check Servicing, ADS, Fraud Risk Management, Contact Center, Branches, Transaction Operations, IT, Records Management and Accounting).
• Identify and resolve settlement issues and/or member inquiries.
• Review and process all vendor reports related to member adjustments and network settlement.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing procedures and communicate them to the manager.
• Handle member service issues escalated from representative prior to having management intervention.
• Support business continuity plan initiatives, which require regular cross training on all critical Check Servicing processes and quarterly testing.
• Comply with all published enterprise level policies and procedures including, but not limited to, Risk Management policies.
• Complete all required, ongoing enterprise level training including, but not limited to BSA, OFAC, and Information Security.
• Report all Risk Management Policy violations in accordance with policy.
• Other duties may be required and assigned by the manager.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Experience with a financial institute
• Prior ATM settlement experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Reg. CC and Reg. E requirements preferred
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet)
• Effective communication, analytical, and conflict resolution skills.

Salary range: $42,400 - $59,565
