An established industry player is on the lookout for a talented attorney to join their dynamic team in New York. This role focuses on providing legal support for asset-based lending and investment, particularly in commercial real estate and transportation assets. You will be involved in negotiating and closing financing facilities, drafting critical documentation, and managing relationships with outside counsel. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree, be a member of the New York State bar, and possess 5-15 years of relevant experience. Marathon’s integrated global credit platform is driven by our specialized, highly experienced, and disciplined teams across Private Credit (Direct Lending, Asset Based Lending and Opportunistic Credit) and Public Credit (High Yield, Leveraged Loans & CLOs, Emerging Markets, and Structured Credit).
Marathon is seeking an experienced attorney to support and work closely with Marathon’s market leading private credit, asset-based investment team, working on site at our New York headquarters. The team focuses on investing and financing all types of assets, including commercial real estate, aircraft, ships, receivables, structured products and other asset classes. Title will be commensurate with experience.
The average salary for this role is $150,000 - $275,000 in base pay and is exclusive of any bonuses or benefits which are also part of the compensation package. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, and in addition we will also consider internal equity and market data. We do not anticipate that candidates hired will begin at the top of the range however, from time to time, it may occur on a case-by-case basis.
