Job summary

Snowbird Resort is seeking a Tram Operator to safely run the aerial tram, assist guests, and perform daily logs. This on-site role requires strong communication, teamwork, and a customer-focused mindset in a fast-paced mountain environment.

The position includes weekend, holiday, on-call, and weekly overnight shifts, with a starting schedule around 6:00 am and potential long hours based on operations. Snowbird offers ski pass benefits and comprehensive employee perks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and perform basic math functions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to accurately complete logs and operational documentation.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain a high level of situational awareness.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Aerial Tram safely and efficiently in accordance with established procedures.
• Assist guests with loading and unloading while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
• Monitor and maintain hazard-free loading and unloading platforms, walkways, and station areas.
• Complete required daily logs, inspections, and operational checks.
• Deliver tram announcements and provide guests with mountain information.
• Provide outstanding guest service and answer guest questions.
• Work closely with Lift Maintenance, Ski Patrol, and other resort departments to support safe and efficient mountain operations.
• Respond appropriately to changing weather, operational conditions, and guest needs.
• Support lift, gate, and dig crew operations as needed.
