Job summary

Valor Hospitality seeks a shuttle driver at The Lodge at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, AL, to transport guests safely between the hotel and airports or attractions. You will perform pre-trip inspections, maintain the vehicle, and assist guests with luggage while delivering friendly, professional service.

The role requires a valid license, clean driving record, and, for larger vehicles, a CDL with a passenger endorsement. Strong guest interaction and communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • The ability to safely and professionally operate a shuttle van or passenger bus in various weather and traffic conditions.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
  • For larger vehicles (16+ passengers), a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement is required.
  • Familiarity with local roads, traffic patterns, landmarks, and efficient use of GPS systems.
  • The ability to perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections, basic maintenance checks (such as checking fluids and tire pressure), and report any issues.
  • Knowledge of what to do in case of a vehicle malfunction, accident, or passenger emergency.
  • A friendly, approachable, and patient demeanor is crucial for creating a positive guest experience.
  • Strong verbal communication skills to greet guests, provide information, and effectively coordinate with the hotel's front desk and other departments.

POSITION PROFILE
