Job summary

Canadian Pacific Kansas City is seeking a Trainmaster in Meridian, Mississippi to drive efficient, safe movement of traffic within yards and on the road, coordinating the daily operating plan and leading a safe, cost-effective operation.

The role requires supervising train movements, coaching Train & Engine staff, and maintaining safety standards while meeting LOSP and OP goals. A high school diploma and railway experience are essential, with opportunities for career progression within CPKC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Supervisory experience in logistics or operations is a plus.
• Experience in railway operations or safety protocols is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily yard-terminal/road operating plan safely and cost-effectively.
• Oversee train movements and supervise staff to LOSP and OP.
• Maintain safety, service, productivity, and financial metrics for the terminal.
• Lead safety compliance and drive corrective actions as needed.
• Conduct investigations per policies and CBAs; attend derailments/incidents when on duty.
• Manage terminal inventory and coach Train & Engine personnel.
• Maintain CROR/GCOR certifications and related licenses.
