Job summary

Patriot Rail in Mississippi seeks a Rail Operations Leader to oversee conductors, engineers and train crews, coordinating daily operations and driving safety and efficiency. The role is based in Silver Creek, MS and requires at least three years in railroad operations with current certification.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of railroad operations experience.
• Current Locomotive Engineer and Conductor certifications.
• Strong knowledge of FRA regulations and railroad operating rules.
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic operating environment.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise conductors, engineers, and train crews.
• Coordinate daily train and switching operations.
• Promote and enforce safety, operating rules, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage railcar movements, train documentation, and operational reporting.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor performance, identify improvements, and drive operational excellence.
• Partner with customers, crews, and leadership to ensure reliable service.
• Coach and develop employees while building a strong, engaged team.
