Air Mobility Command is seeking a Training Specialist to plan and coordinate course structure and schedules in support of the Aircrew Training, Distribution, and Requirements process. The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a Training Specialist planning and coordinating course structure and schedules to support the Aircrew Training, Distribution, and Requirements process.
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes comprehensive and thorough knowledge of a wide range of professional concepts, principles, practices, procedures regulations, and laws applicable to a full range of ground based, aircrew flying training responsibilities such as that gained through extensive specialized training, experience, and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex assignments; Knowledge and ability to plan and accomplish a wide variety of concurrent tasks to achieve specific program goals such as applying Air Force upgrade standards to local upgrade programs, working with Lockheed Martin contracts, processing aircrew training waivers, adhering to Programmed Flying Training (PFT) allocation process and adapting to the changing command requirements, and scheduling aircrew training and aircraft sorties. Successfully completed a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled. NOTE: You must submit copies of your transcripts.

Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-09 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
