The Air Education and Training Command is seeking a lead human resources specialist to provide comprehensive support for one or more military personnel programs. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a lead human resources specialist and perform a wide variety of both procedural and substantive work supporting one or more military personnel programs, operations, or functions, e.g., recruitment, induction, assignment, training, utilization, or separation.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, 0201 Series.
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-7, or equivalent in other pay systems.
Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position.

Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-7 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-9 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
