Job summary

Thrive Care Services Llc is seeking a Training Specialist to oversee all training initiatives, deliver competency-based programs, and coordinate new hire orientations within a behavioral health and IDD-focused organization.

You will manage the LMS, develop multimodal training, and ensure compliance with Title 17, Title 22, and other regulatory requirements while collaborating with HR and program directors to support high-quality care delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (relevant coursework/experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • Minimum of three years of experience working with individuals with co-occurring mental illness and IDD in a residential setting
  • Certified in PCM, Ukeru, First Aid and CPR (hands-on instruction) prior to working with clients
  • Fingerprint clearance (Livescan) and health screening including TB test required prior to employment
  • Must have valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and implement training programs for staff, including new hire orientation and ongoing professional development
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and develop multimodal training (live, hands-on, webinars, online)
  • Monitor and report on training compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Create and update training materials based on best practices in behavioral health, IDD, and person-centered approaches
  • Coordinate and facilitate required trainings (CPR, PCM, Ukeru) for initial hire and recertifications
  • Ensure staff and consultants meet required training and certification standards
  • Organize and facilitate comprehensive orientation sessions for all new employees
  • Conduct audits and assessments to identify training gaps and improve program effectiveness
  • Collaborate with HR, program directors, and external partners to ensure training delivery
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the program's goals

Job Summary:The Training Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing all training initiatives within the organization to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. This role develops and delivers competency-based training programs for staff, coordinates new hire orientations, and oversees training compliance in alignment with best practices in behavioral health and intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).Key Responsibilities:Training Oversight & Coordination: Plan, develop, and implement training programs for staff, including new hire orientation and ongoing professional development.LMS Management: Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), develop multimodal training (live, hands-on, webinars, online), and analyze reports to improve staff competency and program outcomes.Compliance & Reporting: Monitor and report on training compliance, ensuring adherence to Title 17, Title 22, and other regulatory requirements.Curriculum Development: Create and update training materials based on best practices in behavioral health, IDD, co-occurring disorders, and person-centered approaches.Certification & Recertification: Coordinate and facilitate required trainings, including CPR, Professional Crisis Management (PCM), and Ukeru training for initial hire and recertifications.Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all staff and consultants meet required training and certification standards.New Hire Orientation: Organize and facilitate comprehensive orientation sessions for all new employees.Quality Assurance: Conduct audits and assessments to identify training gaps and improve program effectiveness.Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with HR, program directors, and external partners to ensure seamless training delivery.Additional Duties:Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the program's goals.Thrive Care Services is an equal opportunity employer.
