Job description

The Operations Program Manager, Training is responsible for designing, preparing and conducting a variety of onsite, in-house, and web-based training classes on industry-specific scientific content pertaining to BioAgilytix Scientific Operations. He or she will be responsible for delivering existing training courses and identifying new training opportunities beneficial to BioAgilytix Scientific Operations teams. The individual will collaborate cross- functionally with BioAgilytix subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure training materials and classes remain current and effective. They will also be responsible for the administration, coordination, and execution of scientific operations new hire company training and development program(s). The Program Manager, Training must remain current on BioAgilytix scientific and regulatory content and systems and will be responsible for explaining complex technical information.


Essential Responsibilities: Program Management
  • Responsible for the coordination of training programs, including scientific operations new employee orientation and onboarding
  • Coordinate and deliver new employee orientation training to ensure that new hires receive introductory training on key SOPs that are essential for them to complete their essential job functions
  • Conducts the majority of training activities but also coordinates with SMEs to develop and deliver highly specialized training activities e.g. high complexity instrument training such as ddPCR, flow cytometry and LCMS or in depth GMP training activities
  • Acts as the main contact for instructors providing specialized training outside the Operations Program Manager’s scope, ensuring they are informed of training needs and schedule. Coordinate with hiring managers to ensure new onboarding training has been completed in a timely manner
  • Reviews and updates course materials for typical job functions annually. Partners with SMEs to update highly specialized training materials annually. Collaborates with global training program owners to assist with program execution and rollout
  • Support internal or external Instructional Designer to create or update training materials to support Operation’s Training
Essential Responsibilities: Technical and Learning & Development
  • Responsible for leading, delivering and in some cases coordinating effective training for high complexity testing personnel including, but not limited to:
  • Understanding and effectively communicating the science behind immunoassays, cell-based assays, and molecular biology assays
  • Demonstratingexecutionofvariousassaytypeswithacuteattentiontodetail
  • Analyzing and interpreting data generated during training sessions
  • Remaining current in industry trends for drug and assay development
  • Delivers group and individual instruction and training covering a range of technical, operational, and/or systems areas in a specified field
  • Collaborates with SMEs to develop training curricula and/or recommends or utilizes vendor programs that meet instructional goals and objectives
  • Formulates training outlines and determines instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of such methods as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops
  • Coordinates with HR to update/manage Ceridian (HRIS) training workflow for Operations
  • Evaluates effectiveness of training and development programs and utilizes relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods
  • Assists in analyzing and assessing organizational training and development needs
  • Plan and execute vendor shows to support ongoing training and engagement initiatives
  • Coordinate sponsor-led seminars, ensuring seamless logistics and impactful delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to organize and deliver Lunch & Learn sessions
  • Partner with internal departments to design and facilitate specialized training programs tailored to business needs
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications: Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology, or related field with not less than six (6) years’ experience in a scientific laboratory environment; or
  • Master’s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology, or related field with not less than four (4) years’ experience in a scientific laboratory environment; or
  • PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology, or related field with not less than two (2) years’ experience in a scientific laboratory environment
  • Not less than one (1) year experience leading a scientific training program

Desired Technical and L&D Skills
  • Ability to develop assays in some or all of the following platforms: ELISA, MSD-ECL, Flow Cytometry, PCR, ELISpot
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Knowledge and application of regulatory guidance to experimental planning and design
  • Experience working in GxP environments and demonstrated knowledge of GxP regulations
  • Experience with execution of many of the following assays: PK, biomarker, immunogenicity (ADA and Nab), and potency
  • Proven experience engaging and applying effective training tools across multiple learning formats (e.g., in-person, virtual, self-paced)
  • Demonstrated project management and evaluation skills; ability to conduct program evaluations, interpret data, and communicate results
  • Ability to determine learning objectives and design and deliver effective learning solutions
  • Ability to use the ADDIE (Analysis/Design/Development/Implementation/Evaluation) model to review and adapt training plans, curricula, and methodology
  • Ability to prepare instructional aids and plans
  • Proven facilitation and presentation skills, including in-person and virtual delivery
Supervisory Responsibility and Working Environment
  • This position does not currently have any direct supervisory responsibilities; however, supervisory duties may be assigned in the future based on evolving business needs.

  • Position is required to be on-site
  • Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms
  • Personal protective equipment required, such as protective eyewear, garments, and gloves
