Job summary

The Redpath Group in South Jordan, UT is seeking a Documentation and Compliance Specialist to develop, organize, and ensure the accuracy of corporate documents and training materials across projects.

You will manage document control systems, align documents with regulatory requirements, and collaborate with operations, safety, HR, and finance to reflect company practices. A Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years in document development and mining compliance are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and maintain corporate documents, including policies, procedures, and training materials, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Implement and manage a document control system to track versioning, approvals, and distribution.
  • Ensure all documents align with legal and regulatory requirements through regular reviews and updates.
  • Collaborate with operations, safety, HR, and finance to reflect company practices accurately.
  • Develop training programs and materials aligned with the learning management system and support users.
  • Assist in audits by providing documentation and demonstrating compliance.
  • Identify process improvements in document management and development.
  • Operate a company vehicle if required, with valid license and driving record.
  • Maintain safe work areas and comply with safety directives.
  • Work 40 hours per week with possible overtime and shift rotations.
  • Adhere to Redpath Core Competencies.

Overview

Responsible for developing, managing, and ensuring compliance with all corporate documentation, learning management system content and implementation across projects and other corporate system initiatives for all departments. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of training and compliance systems to support operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Document Development: Create, edit, and maintain corporate documents, including policies, procedures, and training materials, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Document Control: Implement and manage a document control system to track document versions, approvals, and distribution, ensuring timely access to the most current documents for all employees.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure all corporate documents align with legal and regulatory requirements, conducting regular reviews and updates as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including operations, safety, HR, and finance, to gather information and ensure all documentation accurately reflects company practices and standards.
  • Training and Support: Develop training programs and materials to align with the corporate learning management system and provide support to employees in understanding and utilizing corporate documents effectively.
  • Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and demonstrating compliance with established procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in document management and development, fostering a culture of quality and efficiency.
  • Operating Company Vehicle: If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must meet the requirements to be an eligible user of company vehicles, possess a current State Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Safety and Risk: Responsible to keep work areas safe and free of hazards. Performs Field Level Risk Assessments. Comply with daily, weekly and monthly safety directives, policies, and procedures.
  • Instruction Comprehension: Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work Hours and Availability: Able to work 40 hours a week, overtime when required, and shift rotations as required.
  • Core Competencies: Compliance with Redpath Core Competencies is an essential duty and responsibility.
  • Additional Duties: Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, preferred.

Knowledge & Experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in document development and control, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sector.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and safety standards in the mining industry.
  • Proficiency in document management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of mine regulations pertaining to construction in mining.
Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to demonstrate proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment and materials.
  • Ability to pass background clearance check, drug screening and physical.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • High level of attention to detail, neatness and accuracy.
