Job summary

AOE International seeks a Training Manager to lead all instruction at the assigned Hub and own the CEJA Core Competencies curriculum. You will supervise 4–8 instructors and teach part of the Construction Career Cluster foundation.

Responsibilities include building the cohort calendar, coordinating the training capacity plan, setting up labs, and ensuring compliance with credentialing and safety standards. Strong experience in electrical/solar trades is preferred.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in electrical, solar, or construction trades or technical training.
• Experience designing curriculum, assessments, or lab instruction.
• Experience supervising instructors or leading a crew.
• Ability to connect with adult learners from communities underrepresented in the trades.

Responsibilities

• Finalize lesson plans, assessments and lab exercises aligned to the 2027-2029 Clean Jobs Curriculum Framework.
• Build the cohort calendar (nine monthly starts in Year 1) and provide training capacity plan.
• Hire, schedule, observe and coach instructors; ensure they meet framework requirements.
• Set up and maintain labs (solar, electrical, EVSE); conduct safety inspections and tool control.
• Manage credential provider requirements (OSHA, NABCEP, First Aid/CPR/AED) and exam scheduling.
• Teach the Construction Career Cluster foundation and cover classes when needed.
• Review attendance and assessment results; arrange tutoring and re-assessment as needed.
• Present curriculum and results to employer advisory group and act on recommendations.
