  • Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.
  • Facilitates delivery of training by reserving and setting up needed audiovisual equipment and training rooms; scheduling training times with attendees; preparing and distributing training aids; and performing other related tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned

REPORTS TO: HR Director

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

FLSA STATUS: Full Time, Salary; Exempt position

JOB PURPOSE: The Training Manager will assist with identifying and monitoring training needs in the organization, and will organize, facilitate and deliver training programs for team members. This position may design, plan, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs.

Assist qualified Pueblo of Pojoaque Tribal members in employment opportunities with the Pueblo of Pojoaque Businesses by hiring, coaching and supporting their career growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Researches and identifies areas in which training is required and/or beneficial.
  • Plans, organizes and effectively conducts team member training on various skill, policy and compliance areas.
  • Evaluates and modifies existing or proposed programs; suggests and implements suitable changes.
  • Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
  • Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.
  • Facilitates delivery of training by reserving and setting up needed audiovisual equipment and training rooms; scheduling training times with attendees; preparing and distributing training aids such as handouts; and performing other related tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with graphic design ability.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Ability to moderate large groups.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Must be Bi-lingual (English — Spanish)

REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications or related area required.
  • At least two years of experience in training

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Standing-50% /Walking-10% /Sitting-40%; Office environment and classroom setting.
  • Some bending and lifting and carrying of up to 15 lbs. is required.
  • Exposure to VDT’s and CRT’s from computer use
  • Travel required throughout the Pueblo. Some travel off the Pueblo.
