Job summary

The San Diego LGBT Community Center is seeking a Training Institute and Community Education Manager to lead curriculum development, deliver trainings for staff and community partners, and grow TI revenue. The role emphasizes collaboration across departments, leadership development, and innovative education relevant to LGBTQ+ communities.

You will oversee a 1-3 person team, manage relationships with funders and partners, and guide program quality with evidence-based approaches, contributing to

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience designing and facilitating training for adult learners, in person and virtually, including curriculum development.
• Experience designing or delivering training on LGBTQ+ cultural competency, health equity, or related topics for professional or community audiences.
• Experience building client relationships or partnerships and meeting revenue or enrollment goals; managerial and budget management experience.
• Strong writing, verbal communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Update and expand the Training Institute's library of about 30 trainings, review curriculum annually, draw on best practices and stakeholder needs.
• Create and implement new curricula for Center staff based on emerging needs and research-informed practices.
• Design and implement an annual training plan for Center staff and deliver trainings.
• Collaborate across departments to co-create training and programming; co-facilitate when needed.
• Oversee Leadership Academy re-implementation with staff development focus; plan workshops and select facilitators.
• Develop and deliver trainings for community organizations across San Diego County and virtually.
