Job summary

Day & Zimmermann is seeking an experienced Specialist, Training and Development to design and deliver customized professional, technical, safety, and functional training for Hawthorne Army Depot personnel. You will maintain training plans, support SMEs, evaluate effectiveness, and update to meet safety and compliance needs.

The role requires 5+ years in training and development, AR 350-4 and related certifications, and the ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or equivalent in training, learning and development, education, HR, safety, operations, or related field.
• 5+ years of training and development experience with learning strategies and projects.
• DoD/AR 350-4 Certification program completion required; IVES/OSHA/Flagger instructor certs may be required.
• Valid State driver’s license; ability to obtain DoD clearance.
• MS Office proficiency and familiarity with training-related software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain training programs, timelines, and plans for Hawthorne Army Depot personnel; update with SMEs to ensure training deliverables are met.
• Design curricula and learning frameworks for instructor-led, web-based, computer-based, and blended delivery methods.
• Facilitate training activities and coordinate onboarding, technical training, and competency development; prepare scopes and materials.
• Monitor learner feedback and outcomes to evaluate program effectiveness and coach stakeholders and facilitators.
• Maintain Materials Handling Equipment training programs for designated equipment and support safety-related training.
