Corewell Health is seeking a Training & Development Specialist, Associate to deliver instructor‑led, virtual, and computer‑based training focused on Epic and health systems in a healthcare/insurance setting.

The role emphasizes learner onboarding, skill development, and adoption, with collaboration across trainers and leaders to ensure consistency and readiness for go‑live activities. Occasional travel and weekend sessions may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent related field.
• 1 year of relevant experience supporting or providing application or system training, end user education, or user support in a classroom, virtual, one on one, or at the elbow setting.
• 1 year of relevant experience supporting learner onboarding, skill development, or system or process adoption.
• Demonstrated familiarity with adult learning or facilitation practices.
• CRT-EPIC Credentialed Trainer -120 Days Upon Hire.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate assigned instructor led training sessions using approved materials and defined delivery standards.
• Support learners during training sessions by answering questions, reinforcing key concepts, and escalating issues appropriately.
• Prepare classrooms, systems, and materials to ensure readiness for training delivery.
• Apply basic adult learning principles and adapt facilitation and support approaches to support learner engagement, comprehension, and individual learning needs.
• Collaborate with peers, trainers, and training partners to ensure consistent messaging and a positive learner experience.
• Assist with training coordination activities, including registration support, attendance tracking, completion documentation, and maintenance of accurate training records.
• Participate in training evaluations, feedback collection, and team debriefs to support continuous improvement efforts.
• Support go‑live readiness and provide at‑the‑elbow assistance during implementation or cutover activities, as assigned.

Job description

The Training & Development Specialist, Associate is responsible for facilitating engaging instructor-led, virtual, and technology-based learning that helps Priority Health team members build the knowledge and skills needed to navigate complex workflows, systems, and customer interactions. The ideal candidate brings strong instructional, presentation, and classroom management skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners in a dynamic environment. Healthcare, pharmacy, or health insurance experience is highly desirable, along with the ability to become an Epic Credentialed Trainer and support evolving organizational training initiatives.

Job Summary

Provides classroom, virtual, one‑on‑one, and at‑the‑elbow training to support learner onboarding, skill development, and system or process adoption, with a primary focus on Epic and other health systems. Delivers training with a member‑centric mindset, recognizing that effective learning, accurate system use, and consistent training delivery directly support positive experiences for Priority Health members. Under guidance, facilitates established training programs and supports training coordination, learner engagement, and adoption efforts, ensuring consistent delivery in alignment with designed training content. Partners with trainers, subject matter experts, and operational leaders to deliver audience‑specific training using instructor‑led and computer‑based methods and to provide input to the continuous improvement of training programs. Occasional weekend training and daytime or overnight travel may be required.

Required

• Associate's Degree or equivalent related field
• 1 year of relevant experience Supporting or providing application or system training, end user education, or user support in a classroom, virtual, one on one, or at the elbow setting
• 1 year of relevant experience Supporting learner onboarding, skill development, or system or process adoption
• Demonstrated familiarity with adult learning or facilitation practices (through coursework, on the job experience, internship, or training support roles)Exposure to clinical, operational, or enterprise systems in a training, implementation, education, or support role.
• CRT-EPIC Credentialed Trainer -120 Days Upon Hire

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Education, Human Resources, Business or other related field
• 1 year of relevant experience Delivering or supporting training for Epic or other enterprise health systems.
• 1 year of relevant experience Supporting blended learning approaches, including instructor led training, eLearning, microlearning, or virtual classroom delivery.
• 1 year of relevant experience Assisting with go live or cutover support activities.
