Job summary

Yakama Nation invites applications for a Training & Development Coordinator within the TERO Program of the Department of Tribal Administration in Toppenish, WA. The role plans, organizes, and manages training and workforce development to connect clients with quality opportunities and career advancement.

Responsibilities include developing training plans, coordinating with apprenticeship programs, MOUs, surveys, data analysis, and reporting to HEW Committee.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Workforce Development, Human Resources, or related field.
• Experience: Two years of experience in training coordination, workforce development, or related area.
• Substitution: An Associate’s degree plus four years of relevant experience may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree.
• A high school diploma/GED plus six years of progressively responsible experience in training coordination or workforce development may substitute for a degree.
• Pre-employment background check and drug test required.
• Must possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License with ability to obtain Yakama Nation Driving permit.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage all training and workforce development activities within the Yakama Nation TERO Program.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive training plan; coordinate with apprenticeship programs and educational institutions.
• Establish MOUs to expand training partnerships and oversee the annual training survey.
• Analyze data to identify training needs and improve program offerings.
• Schedule, facilitate training sessions, and manage client progress records; prepare reports for HEW Committee.
• Act as liaison between clients, employers, and training providers; ensure compliance with TERO ordinances.
