J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Training Design Specialist to design and develop talent development programs for managers and technical staff.

You will collaborate with Talent Development Consultants, HRBPs and stakeholders to create curricula and content that meets business needs and learning objectives. The role emphasizes analyzing learning plans, organizing content into competency frameworks, evaluating programs, and selecting the right technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, communications, instructional design, or related field with 4 years of experience; or 8 years combined experience.
  • Master’s degree in HR, business, communications, or instructional design with 3–5 years training experience.
  • Experience creating online learning content and curricula in a business setting.
  • Develop emotional intelligence to understand, assess, and regulate emotions and interpret behaviors.
  • Ability to express thoughts clearly and respectfully across perspectives.
  • Commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with functional groups to develop, design and implement training programs meeting needs and objectives.
  • Direct analysis and implementation of learning plans for leader-level skills and expert content.
  • Organize learning content into competency frameworks and maintain alignment.
  • Monitor and evaluate offerings to ensure objectives are met with quality content.
  • Evaluate behavioral changes using designed methods and checklists to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify and leverage technologies to support organizational goals; maintain records of assets and versions.

Hunt’s talent development programs, primarily focused on professional skills for managers, or advanced technical skills, and advanced learning content. The incumbent collaborates with Talent Development Consultants/Team Members, HRBPs, business stakeholders and HR Operations to creatively develop training curriculum and content to respond to business and/or employee needs.Job Description:Key Responsibilities:Interface with functional groups across the organization utilizing needs analysis and other assessment methods to develop, design and implement classroom and technology-based training programs to meet organizational/individual needs as well as learning objectives.Direct the analysis and implementation of learning plans and strategies for leader-level professional skill and expert content in order to maintain and improve effectiveness. Organizes learning content into competency framework and maintains learning content and competency alignment.Monitor and evaluate talent development offerings to ensure learners' styles and needs are met, and course objectives are achieved through quality and accurate content and experiences. Designs and utilizes evaluation methods to evaluate behavioral changes associated with learning.Identify opportunities to adapt and leverage the right technologies at the right time to meet organizational goalsUtilizes specific approaches and tools for checking and cross-checking outputs. Develops and uses checklists to insure that information goes out error-free.
