Job summary

Every Child's Hope is seeking a Training Coordinator in St. Louis, MO to plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate staff training across all departments. This role manages onboarding and coordinates organization-wide training using in-person and virtual platforms, while maintaining the LMS and ensuring accurate records.

The ideal candidate will oversee training content, stay current with licensure and accreditation requirements, and collaborate to improve training quality and impact across programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; training, facilitation, staff development, or child welfare experience will be considered.
  • Three years of training, teaching, or group facilitation preferred; child welfare experience preferred.
  • Experience with LMS, staff development, or accreditation compliance is highly valued.

Position Type: Full Time

Summary: The Training Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that support ECH staff across all departments. This position conducts new employee onboarding and facilitates live, organization-wide training for staff at all levels. The Training Coordinator also maintains ECH’s Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring classes are entered and available for registration, training content and records are current, and required staff training is accurately tracked and documented.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Training Development & Delivery
  • Conduct new employee onboarding training and other required orientation training.
  • Facilitate live, organization-wide training for employees at all levels through in-person and virtual platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
  • Design, develop, and update training programs and materials using current best practices in adult learning.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of licensure and accreditation requirements, including:
    • Missouri Department of Social Services / Children’s Division
    • Council on Accreditation (COA) / Social Current
    • Missouri Coalition for Children
    • Other relevant external bodies
  • Ensure all required staff training is current, compliant, and properly documented.
Training Oversight & Coordination
  • Maintain and update ECH’s Learning Management System (LMS), including creating and entering classes, establishing course dates and registration opportunities, uploading and updating course content, managing enrollment and registration, sending reminders, tracking completion, and generating reports.
  • Maintain Instructor Certification in CPR, Ukeru, and SCM.
  • Ensure training is delivered with fidelity to the corresponding train-the-trainer model.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation in accordance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
  • Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, room reservations, equipment setup, and communication with attendees.
  • Distribute training calendars across organizational communication channels.
  • Track staff completion of mandatory trainings, follow up on gaps, and report non-compliance to supervisors and leadership.
Continuous Quality Improvement & Evaluation
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using assessments, surveys, performance data, etc.
  • Identify training needs by collaborating with QA staff to review data, audits, performance evaluations, incident reports, and program feedback.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to strengthen training quality and impact.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and program leadership to tailor training to program-specific needs.
  • Prepare reports and training summaries for leadership, audits, and accreditation reviews.
  • Ensure training materials reflect updated policies, procedures, and trauma-informed practices.
Collaboration & Culture Building
  • Model and promote trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and ethical practice.
  • Build and maintain professional working relationships with staff at all levels.
  • Provide coaching, clarification, and support to staff navigating training expectations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

QualificationsQualifications
Education and Experience

Certificates & Licensure:
  • Obtain and maintain required instructor certifications in Ukeru, SCM, and CPR.
Work Environment
  • Mix of office work, classroom facilitation, and virtual training delivery.
  • Moderate noise level; occasional travel between programs and sites.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, speak, and use technology for extended periods.
  • Light lifting of training materials, equipment, or supplies (up to 25 lbs).
