Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years coordinating or delivering training in a manufacturing environment is preferred; regulated industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, organization, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems and standard Microsoft Office applications; ability to manage multiple priorities and confidential records.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding, technical, refresher, and qualification training for manufacturing employees while minimizing disruption to operations.
  • Manage employee training plans, curricula, and qualification requirements to ensure plans stay current.
  • Administer the Learning Management System, including training assignments, completion tracking, and compliance reporting.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready training records per procedures and retention requirements.
  • Verify employees complete required training and demonstrate competency before performing assigned work.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and SMEs to develop and deliver training materials, assessments, and qualification activities.
  • Provide timely reports on training completion, certification status, overdue assignments, and compliance trends.

The Training Coordinator supports manufacturing performance and regulatory compliance by coordinating, delivering, and documenting technical training for site employees. This role ensures personnel are trained and qualified before performing assigned job functions, maintains accurate and audit‑ready training records, administers the Learning Management System (LMS), and provides management with timely visibility into training compliance. The coordinator partners with supervisors, subject matter experts, and Quality to maintain effective curricula and promote consistent execution of site procedures and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule onboarding, technical, refresher, and qualification training for manufacturing employees while minimizing disruption to operations.
  • Manage employee training plans, curricula, and qualification requirements to ensure they remain current and aligned with job responsibilities, procedures, and departmental needs.
  • Administer the Learning Management System, including training assignments, completion tracking, employee qualification status, master data, and compliance reporting.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and audit‑ready training records in accordance with approved procedures, documentation standards, and record‑retention requirements.
  • Verify that employees complete required training and demonstrate competency before independently performing assigned work.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and subject matter experts to develop, revise, and deliver effective training materials, assessments, and qualification activities.
  • Provide supervisors and site leadership with timely reports on training completion, certification status, overdue assignments, and compliance trends.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and spot audits of training records and LMS data, identify gaps, support corrective actions, and help maintain inspection readiness.
  • Support internal and external audits by retrieving training documentation, responding to information requests, and assisting with the resolution of training‑related observations.
  • Promote continuous improvement by evaluating training effectiveness, identifying recurring skill gaps, and recommending enhancements to training content, delivery methods, and administrative processes.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, is required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience coordinating or delivering training in a manufacturing environment is preferred; experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or another regulated industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, organization, and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage employees in classroom and hands‑on learning environments.
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems and standard Microsoft Office applications, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and confidential records.
