Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Vision, a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Production Supervisor located at its Jacksonville, Florida manufacturing site. You will lead daily manufacturing operations, plan production activities, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of regulated manufacturing experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with GMP/quality systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Minimum four years manufacturing experience in a regulated environment.
  • Previous team leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Medical device, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated industry experience preferred.
  • Effective English communication and strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Knowledge of GMP, quality systems, and applicable FDA requirements; ISO 13485 preferred.
  • Ability to analyze production data, solve problems, make decisions, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP, MRP, or manufacturing systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and employee-engagement objectives.
  • Plan production activities, establish priorities, assign resources, and adjust staffing or workflow to meet the production schedule.
  • Provide visible floor leadership by monitoring operations, resolving issues, and ensuring timely escalation of risks and constraints.
  • Coach and develop employees through clear expectations, regular feedback, recognition, performance management, and development planning.
  • Build an inclusive, accountable team culture that promotes collaboration, ownership, respectful communication, and adherence to company values.
  • Ensure compliance with approved procedures, GMP requirements, quality systems, environmental standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor operational performance using key metrics such as throughput, yield, scrap, labor efficiency, downtime, service, and inventory accuracy; implement corrective actions when results are off plan.
  • Investigate safety, quality, and operational issues; support nonconformance resolution, root-cause analysis, and effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Materials, Planning, Human Resources, and other functions to resolve production constraints and support business priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Lean principles, standard work, visual management, waste reduction, and structured problem-solving.
  • Support new product introductions, process transfers, validation, equipment qualification, training, and change implementation activities.
  • Maintain accurate operational, training, attendance, performance, and compliance records, and communicate shift results, priorities, and risks to key stakeholders.

Job Description:
