Job summary

Morgan Corp. seeks a Construction Equipment Training Coordinator to deliver field and classroom training for equipment operators and industrial skills across project sites in the Southeast.

You will manage LMS records, coordinate with subject matter experts, and uphold safety and quality in training programs. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in heavy equipment, CAT Level 2/3 training, and strong presentation skills.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years as heavy equipment operator or supervisor in civil construction.
  • OEM operator training CAT Level 2 or 3 completed.
  • Strong communication, presentation and writing skills; ability to convey information in multiple formats.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams; prioritize deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel overnight across the Southeast US; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver equipment operator training and industrial skills training.
  • Develop classroom and computer-based training reflecting equipment advancements.
  • Conduct presentations on field compliance topics and best practices.
  • Maintain records for training programs in Tracks LMS.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to create content and maintain safety standards.
  • Serve as Morgan Corp. ambassador and support training department goals.

Construction Equipment Training Coordinator

Reporting To: Training Coordinator

Description

The Construction Equipment Training Coordinator is a member of the Talent Development Team and is responsible for delivering field training, including equipment operator and industrial skills training for Morgan Corp. projects. Training Coordinators deliver training on Morgan Corp. field sites primarily located in the Southeast United States. Estimated travel will be 99% of the schedule and will include multiple geographic zones. Training Coordinators are responsible for managing and reporting statistics, coordinating and preparing internal and external training. Training Coordinators utilize the Tracks Learning Management System daily.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver equipment operator training
  • Deliver industrial skills training
  • Develop classroom and computer-based training to reflect equipment and industry advancements
  • Conduct presentations and classes on field compliance topics (equipment operations and best practices)
  • Maintain records for the training programs in the Tracks learning management system software
  • Collaborate with internal and external “Subject Matter Experts” to create appropriate content for training and learning
  • Maintain training department standards for safety and optimal equipment operations
  • Maintain working knowledge and operation skills for equipment utilized by projects
  • Serve as an ambassador for the Morgan Corp. network
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • 10 plus years working as a heavy equipment operator or supervisor, preferably within the civil construction industry
  • Successful completion of OEM operator training (i.e., CAT Level 2 or 3)
  • Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills are required. Must be able to convey information by telephone, email, and in-person, and effectively communicate in one‑on‑one and small group situations, which may include customers, vendors, and/or other employees
  • Ability to work independently and within team environments
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Classroom and hands‑on instructor/teaching experience
  • Organizational skills required
  • Able to work in a fast‑paced environment while juggling multiple projects/tasks
  • Ability to resolve problems involving several variables with limited supervision
  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight and for multiple days throughout the Southeast United States.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License (MVR must meet Company standards)
