Job summary

Amasiko Group is seeking a driven Business Development Officer with experience in the training industry to identify growth opportunities and develop strategies to increase company sales, working within the Learning and Development department.

You will build a robust client network, conduct meetings with decision-makers, lead pricing discussions, and guide junior staff while meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Identify growth opportunities and develop strategies to increase sales.
• Prospect for potential new clients and build a robust sales pipeline.
• Cold calling as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
• Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
• Plan approaches and pitches; work with the training team to develop proposals.
• Recruit, train, and guide business development staff.
• Submit accurate regular progress reports.
• Meet and/or exceed targets and contribute to the team targets.
• Participate in pricing the training solutions/services.
• Work with the team to prequalify as a training provider.
• Analyze financial data and develop strategies to reduce costs and increase profits.
• Ad hoc projects.

Business Development Officer

An accredited training provider is looking to employ a driven and result-oriented Business Development Officer with experience in the training environment. They must be able to identify business growth opportunities and develop strategies to increase company sales. The Officer will take up the sales role in the Learning and Development department at the Company. MUST COME FROM A TRAINING INDUSTRY

Duties & Responsibilities

• An in-depth understanding and application of B-BBEE codes.
• Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
• Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased training business.
• Cold calling as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
• Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
• Identify potential clients and the decision makers.
• Research and build relationships with new clients.
• Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s training team, associate consultants or executive representatives.
• Plan approaches and pitches. Work with the training team to develop appropriate proposals, concepts or quotes that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
• Recruit, train, and guide business development staff.
• Submit accurate regular progress reports.
• Meet and/or exceed individual targets and contribute to the overall team targets (monthly, quarterly and annual).
• Participate in pricing the training solutions/services.
• Work with other team members to ensure that the Company is prequalified as a training provider.
