Job description

The Training Center Engineer or Technician develops, manages, and delivers technical training programs for aircraft engine mechanics and part inspectors in our engine MRO facility. This role is responsible for expanding and improving both theoretical and practical training, ensuring alignment with OEM standards, aviation regulations, and internal procedures. The profile combines hands-on experience in aircraft engine maintenance with strong skills in training development and process documentation.Your tasksDesign, develop, and continuously improve technical training programs covering engine disassembly, assembly, repair, inspection, and part handling processes.Create and maintain training materials, including manuals, presentations, digital learning content, and hands-on practical training programs.Develop training plans aligned with OEM requirements, FAA/EASA regulations, AS9100 standards, and internal company procedures.Ensure training content remains current by incorporating procedural updates, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.Establish and maintain training rigs, mock-ups, and practical training stations to support hands-on learning.Deliver classroom, workshop, and on-the-job training (OJT) for aircraft engine mechanics, inspectors, and newly hired employees.Evaluate trainee performance, identify skill gaps, and provide coaching to ensure compliance with MRO procedures and quality standards.Conduct refresher training on standard work instructions, safety requirements, and quality compliance procedures.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance training effectiveness and support the introduction of new technologies, equipment, and engine programs.Maintain accurate training records, certifications, competency matrices, and documentation to support regulatory compliance and audit requirements.Your profileTechnical degree, apprenticeship, or bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 3 years of experience in aircraft engine MRO operations, including disassembly, assembly, repair, or inspection activities.Experience developing and delivering technical training programs or providing hands-on instruction.Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, including FAA, EASA, OEM requirements, and MRO best practices.Experience working with SAP or comparable ERP systems.Excellent technical writing, documentation, and process development skills.Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.Ability to evaluate performance, coach employees, and support workforce development initiatives.Preferred qualificationsEASA Part 147, FAA Part 147, or equivalent trainer certification, or willingness to obtain certification.Hands-on experience supporting OEM aircraft engines such as CFM, GE Aerospace, Rolls-Royce, or Pratt & Whitney platforms.Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or digital training platforms.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.Experience supporting regulatory, customer, or quality audits in an aviation environment.
