Job summary

HireArt is assisting a client in Las Vegas, NV to recruit a Trainer for Mission Readiness Service. The role focuses on delivering classroom and hands-on training for operators, with coaching and performance evaluations to ensure proficiency in SOPs and current training standards.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in the autonomous vehicle industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in the autonomous vehicle industry.
• Ability to train and evaluate operators in classroom and field settings.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background and drug screens.
• Day 1: Safety boots per ASTM F2412/2413.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and hands-on training to operators, including demonstrations, coaching, and feedback on daily operating procedures.
• Review operator performance and address training deficiencies escalated by mentors.
• Conduct and grade hands-on assessments, including field-based and simulated training sessions, and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Perform formal audits of operator performance to ensure adherence to procedures and training standards.
• Collaborate to identify curriculum gaps and maintain consistency across programs.
• Review and update training materials to reflect current SOPs and requirements.
• Complete a minimum of 8 hours per month performing Service duties to maintain proficiency.
• Travel to different locations up to 25% of the time.

Job description

HireArt is helping our client find Trainers - Mission Readiness Service to deliver hands-on training and support the development of new and experienced operators within an autonomous vehicle operations team.

In this role, you'll teach, demonstrate, and assess daily operational procedures through classroom instruction, hands-on training, coaching, and performance evaluations. You'll collaborate with Training Supervisors, Project Managers, instructors, and functional managers to ensure operators remain proficient in standardized operating procedures (SOPs) and current training requirements.

The ideal candidate brings autonomous vehicle industry experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively train and evaluate operators in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

As a Trainer - Mission Readiness Service, you'll:

• Deliver classroom and hands-on training to new and experienced operators, including demonstrations, coaching, and feedback on daily operating procedures.
• Review operator performance feedback, identify training deficiencies, and address concerns escalated by on-the-job mentors.
• Conduct and grade hands-on assessments, including field-based and simulated training sessions, and communicate results to Training Supervisors and relevant stakeholders.
• Perform formal audits of operator performance to ensure adherence to established procedures and training standards.
• Collaborate with Training Supervisors, Project Managers, and instructors to identify curriculum gaps, clarify procedures, and maintain consistency across training programs.
• Review and update training materials to reflect current SOPs, operational requirements, and best practices.
• Complete a minimum of 8 hours per month performing Service or Service Associate duties to maintain operational proficiency and knowledge of SOPs.
• Travel to different locations up to 25% of the time to support training activities.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in the autonomous vehicle industry
• Knowledge of Mission Readiness procedures and operational responsibilities
• Experience working in highly collaborative environments and promoting teamwork
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify opportunities for operational improvement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and provide constructive feedback to trainees
• Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
• Flexibility to accommodate varying training schedules and events
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time to support training at different locations
• Must have a clean driving record with no disqualifying driving history within the past 10 years, including:
  • DUI or DWI
  • Driving-related license suspension
  • Serious at-fault accident resulting in injury or death
  • Two or more moving violations
• Must pass a background check, MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check, and drug screen
• Ability to comply with the company's Substance Abuse Policy
• Day 1 requirement: Safety boots that conform to ASTM F2412 and ASTM F2413 standards

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms
• Experience facilitating classroom instruction and/or on-the-job training
