Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Training Specialist to deliver development programs for warehouse staff on a day shift (Mon-Fri, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM). You will create engaging sessions, assess learner needs and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within our distribution centers in Maryland.

The role requires knowledge of adult learning principles, ability to follow directions, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Prior warehouse experience and a training background are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow verbal and written directions
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to lift 10 to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. infrequently

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Present or facilitate training opportunities using a variety of formats and techniques, including role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos and lectures
• Provide training programs to help workers maintain and improve job skills
• Schedule classes based on availability of classrooms, equipment and instructors
• Attend meetings and seminars to obtain information for use in training programs
• Inform management of training program status

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• At a minimum, you’ll need: Knowledge of adult learning principles and adult training methodologies
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to lift 10 to 25 lbs. on a regular basis, and up to 50 lbs. on an infrequent basis

It'd be great if you also have:

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design or Training
• Professional training certification
• 2 years of warehouse experience, including 1 year in a training role
