Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Manager, Operations Training to design and deliver comprehensive training programs across multiple facilities. You will lead development of modules for QA, PIT, warehousing processes, and safety, ensuring a skilled and engaged workforce.

The role emphasizes measuring training effectiveness, coaching instructors, and creating career development plans, with a Monday–Friday first shift schedule and competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 4 years of related work experience.
• Experience with warehouse management or inventory systems.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
• Ability to adhere to the 7S program and maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, maintain and coordinate training modules for QA, PIT operations, pick/pack/ship processes, safety, loss prevention, people management, WMS, etc.
• Oversee the development of training videos and maintain the library of training aids
• Schedule training sessions; ensure facility and audio-visual equipment is set up and that employees are notified
• Develop a means of measuring the effectiveness of training programs through testing, surveys, etc.
• Identify required core competencies and address any skill gaps
• Train instructors and supervisors in techniques and skills for training and interacting with employees
• Determine and implement career development plans for each training department employee

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Develop, write, maintain and coordinate training modules for a variety of specialties, including quality assurance (QA), powered industrial truck (PIT) operations, pick, pack and ship processes, safety, loss prevention, people management, warehouse management systems (WMS), etc.
• Oversee the development of training videos and/or films; maintain the library of training aids
• Schedule training sessions; ensure facility and audio-visual equipment is set up and that employees are notified
• Develop a means of measuring the effectiveness of training programs through testing, surveys, etc.
• Identify required core competencies and address any skill gaps
• Train instructors and supervisors in techniques and skills for training and interacting with employees
• Determine and implement career development plans for each training department employee

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• 4 years of related work experience
• Experience with warehouse management or inventory systems
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and adult training methodologies
• Ability to adhere to the 7S program
• Proven ability to maintain a safe work environment by adhering to and enforcing safe work practices

It’d be great if you also have:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
• 3 years of management experience
• 2 years of training, teaching or related experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Creative and visual graphic design ability
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
