The City of Midland is seeking a dependable Wastewater Treatment Plant Trainee to grow a public service career. You will work with licensed professionals to learn monitoring, operation, and maintenance of treatment systems that protect public health and the environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read operator manuals, gauges and work orders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and in potentially hazardous conditions.

Responsabilités

• Collect water samples for testing in the primary treatment area.
• Operate and maintain primary treatment equipment and monitor related plant equipment.
• Read gauges, record data and report problems to supervision.
• Perform janitorial and grounds keeping duties in assigned areas.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
