Job summary

Locating, Inc. seeks a Trainee Locator to learn safety rules and techniques for locating underground utility lines. You’ll work with experienced locators, use specialized tools, and record findings to help keep construction projects safe and efficient.

You’ll build a solid understanding of local utility infrastructure and regulations while partnering with senior team members to mark lines and operate locating equipment in varied weather conditions. Training is hands-on and thorough.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license with acceptable MVR

Responsibilities

• Learn utility locating techniques, safety protocols and how to operate equipment
• Develop an understanding of local utility infrastructure and regulations
• Partner with experienced Locators to mark underground utility lines
• Operate utility locating equipment and document findings using digital mapping tools
• Perform work in all weather conditions
