Job summary

Tencarva Machinery Company is seeking a Sales Engineer Trainee to join our on-site team in Greensboro, NC. Trainees work with experienced Sales Engineers, learning equipment selection, quotations, and applications engineering for pump and fluid handling systems.

Our program emphasizes problem solving, business consulting, and building trusted customer relationships across industrial and municipal markets with long-term growth in a territory ownership track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college; strong preference for Engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Civil, Environmental, or Construction Engineering.
• Coursework in Fluid Dynamics and Thermodynamics.
• Must enjoy people and building relationships/rapport.
• Genuine interest in technical sales and/or engineering consulting (helping customers solve problems)

Responsibilities

• Calling on personnel at all levels of industrial and municipal operations—from technicians and operators to engineers, managers, and plant leadership.
• Reviewing blueprints, P&IDs, and system drawings to evaluate equipment needs and develop project proposals.
• Planning and executing customer visits within an assigned territory and forecasting opportunities.
• Recommending equipment or process changes that improve reliability, efficiency, or operating costs.
• Providing technical support related to operation and maintenance of equipment.
