Job summary

Citizens Advice in Kent is seeking a Trainee Money & Mental Health Project Caseworker to support people facing debt, benefits, housing and financial difficulties. You’ll receive full training and act as a trusted point of contact, building practical, holistic advice.

No prior advice experience required; you’ll grow with a structured program, work with health, social care and community partners, and help clients move toward sustainable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Complete specialist debt and benefits advice training.
• Learn how to provide advice and casework.
• Advocate with creditors, statutory agencies and support services.
• Help clients access benefits, grants and financial support.
• Build trusted relationships with people experiencing mental health challenges.
• Work collaboratively with health, social care and community partners.
• Support clients to improve their financial resilience, wellbeing and independence.
• Work alongside experienced advisers in a supportive team.
• Build a rewarding career helping people overcome debt problems and move forward with confidence.
