Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs waived and automated analytic processes and calibrations.
• Oversees calibration on self-calibrating instruments and performs select calibration.
• Performs moderate and high complexity analytic processes under supervision.
• Operates laboratory instruments and maintains equipment; documents results.
• Performs quality control and equipment maintenance within parameters.
• Logs and processes specimens per departmental procedures; ensures proper handling.
• Transcribes data in the LIS; ensures results are validated by senior staff.
• Trains on new procedures to a prescribed level of competency.
• Assists in data collection for QA indicators and in SOP development.
