Job summary

AmSpec Services in Missouri is seeking an entry-level trainee inspector to learn basic inspection and sampling in the field, complete paperwork, and communicate with the office staff.

You will shadow a senior inspector, follow API and IFIA procedures, and work outdoors at refineries, terminals, and on vessels. The role requires a high school diploma, basic math, English, and willingness to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or related industry experience.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Basic math skills including measurement and conversion.
• Must have unrestricted use of a licensed and insured vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Willing to work 24x7 and accept shifts as required.
• TWIC Card may be required to access terminals and host sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic inspection and sampling in field per industry and client requirements.
• Complete field paperwork and distribute reports to vessels, terminals and office.
• Follow API and IFIA procedures and company policies at all times.
• Maintain timely communications with office staff and supervisor.
• Work in refineries, terminals and on-board marine vessels as needed.
