Job summary

Amspec LLC. East Providence, RI is seeking an entry-level trainee inspector to perform basic field inspection and sampling tasks, complete required paperwork, and ensure proper sample handling.

You will shadow senior inspectors, follow API and IFIA procedures, and maintain timely communication with office staff; overtime and shift work may be required.

This role requires a high school diploma, basic math, and a valid driver's license with vehicle; TWIC may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or related experience in the industry.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Basic math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Complete safety and orientation training for access to customer facilities.
• Shadow assigned senior inspector on jobs and learn basic inspection and sampling requirements.
• Follow API and IFIA procedures as well as customer and company policies.
• Perform basic inspection and sampling work in the field according to industry and customer requirements.
• Prepare and distribute field reports to vessels, terminals, and office as assigned.
• Transport samples properly and ensure timely communications with the office.
