Qualifications

• LCDC II/LCDC III/LICDC/LICDC-CS certification required.
• High School Diploma.
• Experience working with youth.
• Strong written and verbal English language skills and comprehension.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Computer proficiency.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Part time/12 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Conducts Trainee Employee Assistance Program assessments, develops intervention plans, and makes referrals for identified students.
• Develops, implements, and facilitates Trainee Employee Assistance Program prevention groups and programs.
• Provides counseling, relapse prevention, and prevention education.
• Networks with center staff and community agencies to provide support services to students.
• Participates in department system for student feedback and concerns.
• Assists in developing center operating procedures for program components.
• Works with the Center Mental Health Consultant, Center Physician, Health Services staff and other designated staff to ensure intervention components are fully understood and integrated in the center.
• Works with the Recreation Department to develop leisure activities and incentives to reinforce TEAP lifestyle.
• Acts as liaison to Center Mental Health Consultant and Center Standards Officer for TEAP issues.
• Performs quality assurance record audits. Maintains TEAP statistics for quarterly reporting to Department Of Labor.
• Ensures collection and handling comply with chain of custody procedures.
• Supports Center Tobacco Use Prevention Program through education and training.
