Job summary

Aleron seeks a Maintenance Technician in Phoenix, AZ for a 6-12 month contract with potential for permanent hire. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining train vehicles and related subsystems in a safety‑driven environment.

The core 2nd shift runs 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, with training periods allowing flexibility across other shifts. A high school diploma and basic experience with automotive or transportation systems are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience maintaining and repairing automotive or transportation systems.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical or electrical systems.
• Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on train vehicles and wayside subsystems, including guideways, switches, and platform doors.
• Repair or replace defective parts using schematics, blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation.
• Respond to system failures and assist with vehicle recovery to restore operations.
• Support emergency response activities, including assisting passengers when required.
• Conduct detailed preventive maintenance inspections and adjustments on vehicles and subsystems.
• Follow established maintenance procedures while exercising sound technical judgment in the field.
