Job summary

R. J. Corman Railroad Company in Lebanon, TN seeks a Train Crew Member to support safe daily operation of trains and progress toward locomotive engineering duties. The role covers on-site work with frequent travel and strict safety standards.

Candidates should hold a valid driver's license, be mechanically inclined, and able to work with diverse teams across ride-along and yard operations. On-call duties are required, with full-time employment benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically inclined, and have basic reading and math skills
• Must be able to develop teamwork and work with all levels of personnel in achieving train-handling objectives
• Must be able to travel regionally and be on-call as needed

Responsibilities

• Assists in all phases of the safe daily operation of trains.
• Operates equipment according to company policies, procedures and practices in all areas, including safety, and DOT requirements.
• Will operate track switches, couple cars and work on freight trains in yard operations and on the road with heavy travel.
• Will move, and align various parts of rail equipment to create or build trains.
