Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) is hiring for a Conductor in the United States (Mississippi). The role supports train and yard operations, prioritizing safety, and requires outdoor work in all weather, long shifts, and occasional unscheduled hours.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks such as walking up to 6 miles a day and lifting up to 80 pounds.
• Willingness to work unscheduled shifts in a 24/7 operating environment.
• Able to work long shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Pass required physical tasks, read safety instructions, and understand operating rules in English.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Operate as part of a train crew to switch cars and move trains in yards.
• Coordinate car switching and coupling/uncoupling.
• Observe and relay signals and train movements.
• Signal crew and manage engine movements via signals or radio.
• Follow GCOR, general orders, and bulletins; provide emergency flag protection.
