Norfolk Southern is seeking a conductor to safely move freight trains, build trains, couple railcars, and deliver to customers. You’ll handle documentation and inspections as part of daily operations, with on-the-job training provided to prepare you for the role.

Join a seniority-based team, ready to commit to 24/7 on-call shifts, with 2–3 days away from home weekly, and union membership required within 60 days after training.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to report to work within 90 minutes.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsabilités

• Build and inspect trains, railcars, and equipment for safe operation.
• Operate remote control locomotives and perform coupling, alignment of drawbars, hand brakes, and riding railcars.
• Communicate effectively with crews, dispatchers, and yard controllers.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with FRA and company safety regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
