Job summary

ADUSA Distribution in York, PA is seeking a skilled yard switcher to safely move trailers for loading and unloading across departments. The role requires adherence to DOT safety standards, accurate record keeping, and the potential need for a Class A CDL, as well as being at least 21 years old with a clean driving record.

You will coordinate with YMS to dock trailers, handle salvage returns, maintain temperature logs for reefers, and perform yard audits.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL may be required at some facilities.
• Must be 21 years of age or older at some facilities.
• Clean driving record with 3 years (or 300,000 miles) experience.
• Must meet work standards accurately and safely.
• Experience in a distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers to dock doors for loading and unloading.
• Move trailers for unloading salvage product from stores.
• Move trailers per YMS directions to other locations.
• Ensure compliance with Delhaize America standards: safety, accuracy, productivity.
• Maintain temperature logs for reefers on the yard.
• Maintain running list of common carrier trailers moved into doors.
• Complete yard audits using handheld computers.
