Job summary

ADUSA Transportation is seeking a switcher to safely move trailers for loading and unloading of grocery, perishables, and salvage in a timely and efficient manner at our NC facilities. The role supports a distribution environment and requires adherence to safety and productivity standards.

Candidates may need a Class A CDL, plus the ability to meet DOT standards. The position involves working in varied temperatures and shifts, with a focus on efficient yard management and record keeping.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL where required by location.
• Candidate should be able to meet work standards in safety and productivity.
• Experience in a distribution environment is preferred.
• Must be able to work needed schedule to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers into appropriate dock doors for loading and unloading of product for various departments.
• Move trailers into appropriate dock door for unloading salvage product from retail stores.
• Move trailers as directed by YMS to other locations when applicable.
• Ensure compliance with Delhaize America standards in accuracy, safety and productivity.
• Maintain accurate temperature log for all running reefers on the yard.
• Maintain running list of common carrier trailers moved into doors during shifts.
