Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and DOT file.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions regarding work duties and safety methods.
• Ability to discern numbers and information to sort packages correctly.

Responsibilities

• Performs trailer switches hooking and moving parked trailers within yard or from yard to door and vice versa.
• Communicates with management to coordinate trailer movements in the yard.
• Documents trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Adheres to yard switching safety processes and procedures.
• Loads and unloads packages onto/from vehicles, trailers, and conveyor carts.
• Lifts and moves packages for extended shifts and sorts by scanning labels and numbers.
